''This publication is a follow up of the exhibition « Phantasses» et soucoupes: Ceramics by Léopold L. Foulem in which were presented fifteen works from a series created in 1999. This group of cups and saucers, assemblages made up of ceramic parts and found objects, is a synthesis of many formal problems tackled by the artist at some point during his career. This series is the continuation of the 18th century European fashion of fitting oriental porcelain in bronze mounts, a recurring theme in works by Foulem.''

This publication is related to the exhibition «Phantasses» et soucoupes ceramics by Léopold L. Foulem. This solo exhibition was held at Musée d'art de Saint-Laurent from Febuary 2 to April 30, 2000.
